William Beatty addressed to D r Fellowes dated 16 t h Janry 26 and reading My dear Sir, Agreeably to your desire I enclose you a line of Lord Nelson's Manuscript, and the 'Far ???' of his autograph, together with a note from Lady Hamilton and Sir Thomas Hardy and am, My dear Sir, Always faithfully yours Re: D r.Beatty together with the mentioned enclosures comprising a letter from Emma Hamilton to Dr. Beatty imploring him to visit, written in a hasty hand and addressed Merton June 2 d signing off My dear Sir ever [believing you?] your affectionate unhappy Emma Hamilton , on half a sheet watermarked WK with residual date for '1803', signed on the back J.N.B. Fellowes and annotated From Lady Hamilton to D r.Beatty after Lord Nelsons death -- 7¾ x 6¼in. (19.5 x 16cm.); A line of manuscript reading at Merton and the ..... from Edmonton annotated on the reverse Lord Nelsons handwriting -- 7in. (17.8cm.) long; And a note from Thomas Masterman Hardy addressed 11 Regent Street Thursday reading My Dear Beatty, I am quite sorry that I cannot avail myself of your Kind invitation, as I am engaged tomorrow (Friday) Ever yours most sincerely T.M. Hardy I am just arrived in Town , and signed on the reverse J.H.B. Fellowes -- 7¼ x 4½in. (18.5 x 11.5cm.) See illustration (4)
