A COLLECTION OF SIX MANUSCRIPTS OTTOMAN TURKEY, 16TH-18TH CENTURY Comprising a 16th century commentary on Hafiz's diwan , 287ff., each with 15ll. of black naskh script within blue rules, with illuminated headpiece, incomplete at end, in gilt red morocco binding, a late 16th century copy of Nata'ij al-funun bound with a work by the court poet of Murad III Yahya Nev'i Efendi, 194ff., each with 22ll. of black naskh script within red rules, with two illuminated headpieces, in gilt and stamped brown morocco binding, two colophons, one dated 13 Sha'ban 1013 the other signed 'Uthman Celebi, Kitab hisn al-husayn , a religious work by Ibn al-Jazari (d. AH 833), 285ff., each with 7ll. of black naskh script, with gold and blue rules, with illuminated headpiece, in gilt and stamped brown morocco binding, two treatises bound together, probably on hadith , 67ff., each with 19ll. of black naskh script, colophon dated Rajab AH 1189, in pink covered gilt morocco binding with flap, a 15th incomplete copy of a work by al-Ghazali, 317ff., each folio with 15ll. of black naskh , in marbled paper covered morocco binding, and a 15th or 16th century Persian dictionary in Turkish, Kitab al-lugha al-farisi ( sic ) daqa'iq al-haqa'iq , 98ff., each folio with 20ll. of black naskh script, added date of AH 958, in paper cover binding Folio 6 1/8 x 3½in.
