Consisting of two pewter buttons from c.1774, a Master Surgeons, Pursers, Warrant Officer's Midshipmen button, circa 1787, a Naval Masters button, c.1787, a Master Surgeon's button c.1787, a Captain and Commmander's button c.1795, A Naval Surgeon's button, c.1805-25, three Naval buttons, c. 1860, a Greenwich Hospital Naval Cadet button, a Pacific Steamship Company button, a Naval button c.1787, a Naval Lieutenant's pewter button, c.1748, a Royal Dockyard Battalion button, a coastguard's button, two George V H.M. Customs and Excise button, a customs button, two Surrey Commercial Docks buttons, two French Navy buttons, three Royal Navy buttons together with pewter Naval button. (26 items) Provenance: This lot came from The Ronald Goode collection at the Pumphouse Educational Museum in Rotherhithe. The Museum housed a fascinating private collection of artifacts discovered on the Thames foreshore in Rotherhithe along with an interesting collection of Peak Freans biscuit factory items which once existed locally in the area. The later collection also included a magnificent six foot iced replica of Queen Elizabeth II's wedding cake with a letter of thanks from Elizabeth II which was on permanent exhibit at The Pumphouse Museum.
