Glacial Kame Culture, Late Archaic Period, 3000-500 B.C. Ashland County, Ohio length 4 in. This large example is classic in form with a rather small head a nearly vertical tail and a wide, thick body. The green, banded slate is nicely banded and polished. Numerous examples of this type have been found in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan.
