A Chinese armorial octagonal dish painted and gilt with sprays of peonies, daisies, lillies and further flowers below a crest bearing the motto 'Pejus Letho Flagitium' -- 11in. (28cm) wide, (damaged); an armorial dish with floral festoons and foliage surmounted by a lion rampant bearing the motto 'Courage' within a spearhead border -- 7¼in. (18.5cm) diam; and another painted and gilt with a butterfly in flight above blossoming plants within a floral and crested border -- 9in. (23cm) diam, 18th century . The arms of the first item are Shard of Horsleydown in Surrey impaling Clarke of Sandford. The arms of the second are of Cumming. See Illustration. (3)
