A CHARLES II BLACK-JAPANNED AND POLYCHROME-DECORATED CABINET-ON-STAND LATE 17TH CENTURY The cabinet with giltwood crest to back ledge and with a fitted interior of eight drawers around a central deep drawer and small drawer all decorated with birds, animals, figures and flowers and enclosed by a pair of doors further decorated with flowers and figures, on giltwood stand with deep pierced friezes on angled projecting legs joined by stretchers, the front frieze centred with a basket of flowers and a cartouche flanked by cherubs 72½ in. (184 cm.) high including gilt back ledge; the stand 50 in. (127 cm.) wide and 26 in. (67 cm.) deep
