With a battle scene between multiple warriors disposed in two levels, the lower with two pairs engaged in battle, to the right a nude warrior in a billowing chlamys, wearing greaves and a helmet, with a sheathed sword suspended by a baldric, an anvil in his raised right hand, his opponent in a short belted chiton and a billowing chlamys, wearing greaves and a plumed helmet, a sheathed sword suspended by a baldric, with a circular shield and a spear, a tree stump sprouting sprigs between them; to the left a warrior lunging at his fallen opponent, wearing a belted white chiton, greaves and a helmet, a spear in his upraised right hand, the opponent in a belted chiton and a plumed helmet, a sheathed sword suspended by a baldric, defending with a rock in his lowered left hand; the upper level with two groups of combating warriors, to the right a curly-haired warrior in a belted white chiton and greaves, wielding a sagaris (battle-axe) in his raised right hand, gripping the crest of his opponent's helmet in his left hand, the opponent wearing a belted white chiton and greaves, a deceased warrior to their right; to the left two warriors, each wearing a belted white chiton, a billowing chlamys and greaves, that to the right wearing a helmet, wielding a segaris , that to the left wearing a plumed helmet, holding a spear and a shield, a warrior below them lunging to the right, wearing a belted white chiton and a plumed helmet, holding a shield and a sword; a band of wave encircling below, vertical lines on the neck, an elaborate palmette complex with voluted tendrils below the handles, details in added white, yellow and red 23 3/8 in.
