A BOHEMIAN (PIRKENHAMMER) SHADED-BLUE GROUND TEASET GREEN CROSSED HAMMERS AND HELMET MARKS FOR, IRON-RED SCRIPT MARK FOR THE DECORATING HOUSE OF ERNST WAHLISS CIRCA 1900 In the Japonism aesthetic, of quatrefoil form, the handles modelled and gilt as bamboo, decorated on the blue ground in gilt and enriched in shades of turquoise and green with a continuous scene of birds in flight above bamboo and flowering plants growing along the banks of a river beneath a starry sky, the tray and saucer emplacements gilt with the foliate monogram 'LP', comprising: a gilt-metal mounted two-handled rectangular tray, the porcelain set into a pierced gallery and raised on bracket feet, a coffee-pot and cover, a two-handled sugar-bowl and cover, eight cups and saucers 23½ in.
