A BLUE AND WHITE 'LOTUS AND BAJIXIANG' STEMBOWL SEAL MARK AND PERIOD OF YONGZHENG well potted with deep rounded sides supported on a splayed hollow stem with a raised ring, brightly decorated in the Ming style around the exterior with a continuous meandering lotus scroll issuing eight large blossoms among dense foliage, each supporting one of the bajixiang, below a border of lingzhi at the rim and strapworks forming ruyi-heads around the base, the stem picked out with flower sprigs on the raised rib, between a 'classic' scroll above and petal panels below, the cobalt deliberately 'heaped and piled', the interior left white, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character seal mark within the interior of the stem 18.3 cm., 7 1/4 in.
