Ruth served as a member of the 1938 World's Fair Sports Advisory Committee, and he is actually presenting this award to the Yankees team. He is flanked by Christy Walsh, Mayor Fiorello La Guardia, and President of the New York World's Fair Corporation, Grover Whalen.
