A 19th century Marine ivory walking cane with whitemetal cartouche engraved WM Barton Aston Hall 1840, the ropetwist shaft with ebony ferrule and faceted pommel inset circular cartouche, inscribed as per title, possibly formerly of Aston Hall Brimingham, 87.5cm long. *Note Aston Hall is a Grade I listed Jacobean House in Aston Birmingham designed by John Thorpe for Sir Thomas Holte in 1631. The house remained in the family until 1817 when the house and contents were sold at auction.
