A 1965 Porsche 356C Coupe Print Chassis no. 21997; Engine no. 715309 Champagne yellow with black leather interior, with coachwork by Karmann, 132735 miles, single-owner California car, accompanied by original driver's manual, original steering wheel and horn button, original tool kit, original Pierburg fuel pump, additional locking shifter, Porsche rally badge, Porsche badge, Porsche script emblem, rear-view mirror, Nardi horn button, wrench, rubber Porsche stamp, Motometer air pressure gauge, Porsche 2 Nachtrag Ersatzeil - Katalog 356B 356C, Porsche reprint workshop manual, Porsche embroidered patch, service receipts and other assorted documents Provenan Provenance: Estate of Joseph Anthony Gatto, Pasadena, CA. Notes: The maintenance records that accompany this single-owner Southern California car tell a story of a man who was meticulous with his vehicle. Family lore has it the owner picked up his future wife for their first date in this 356C (they were married in 1969). The earliest maintenance records dating back to 1972 show the car was initially driven around 10,000 miles a year and regularly maintained.As the family grew, the 356C was driven less and less but still maintained to its present state. Most notably, the engine was overhauled in 1975 at 103,141 miles. The car was then repainted in the original champagne yellow in 1988, and all of the engine gaskets replaced by a local Pasadena shop in 2006 at 132,049 miles. Most recently, the interior was updated with a new carpet kit in the same German square weave as the original. Condition: Mechanically sound. Engine has gone through multiple rebuilds. Repainted in original champagne yellow; with scattered chips and dents. Trunk hood bent slightly out of alignment. Chrome pitted. Slow leak to front driver's side tire. Brakes squeal. Rust underneath and beside the battery box and a few small areas of paint bubbling to body. Interior in good overall condition with general wear commensurate with age and mileage.
