A 17th century North Italian ebony veneered and ivory table cabinet, the crossbanded top with two rectangular panels and the sides centred by square panels, cast gilt metal carrying handles and cast and pierced corner mounts, the square and rectangular panelled hinged fall front enclosing an arrangement of seven short and one long drawer disguised as three, inlaid in ivory with squirrels, hares and scrollwork, cast lion mask back plates with double fish and scallop ring handles, surrounding a door with an arched panel depicting a flower filled urn, within engraved ivory veneered borders, the hinged fall front with contra partie panels of leaping hares and scrollwork, on later bun feet, 42.5cm wide x 31cm deep x 34.5cm high.
