A 12-BORE PERCUSSION OFFICER'S PISTOL, AN 18-BORE PERCUSSION TRAVELLING PISTOL AND A 16-BORE FLINTLOCK OFFICER'S PISTOL THE PERCUSSION PISTOLS EACH BY WESTLEY RICHARDS, CIRCA 1825-35, THE LAST UNSIGNED, EARLY 19TH CENTURY The percussion pistols each with octagonal twist sighted barrel, engraved patent breech with platinum line and pierced platinum plug, scroll engraved tang and signed bolted lock, figured walnut full stock with chequered butt, engraved iron mounts, silver barrel-bolt escutcheons, and stirrup ramrod, Birmingham proof marks, the officer's pistol with silver escutcheon engraved with the initials 'CFS'(?), the travelling pistol serial no. 216, with some original browned and case-hardened finish on the underside of the barrel and breech, the lock with traces of original case-hardened finish, and silver escutcheon engraved 'R.S. from M'; the last with octagonal sighted barrel, lock with raised pan, walnut full stock, iron mounts, and original horn-tipped ramrod The barrels 8 in. (20.3 cm.); 4 in. (10.2 cm.); and 9½ in. (24.1 cm.) respectively
