2009 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano Coupé Coachwork by Carrozzeria Pininfarina Chassis no. ZFF FD6 0B0 0016 6667 •Supplied new to Switzerland •One owner •22,600 kilometres from new •Last serviced in March 2018 at 22,435 kilometres •Displayed at the Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena on Ferrari's 70th anniversary •Registered in Switzerland Fußnoten Introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in February 2006, the 599 GTB Fiorano took its name from Ferrari's famous test track and was the latest in a noble line of front-engined V12-engine two-seater sports cars that stretched all the way back to the 250 GT SWB of the early 1960s. In designing the 599, Ferrari abandoned the tubular steel chassis of the preceding 550/575, adopting a more advanced and lighter all-aluminium chassis of greatly increased stiffness. Styled by Pininfarina, the 599 with its long bonnet, small cabin, raised haunches and aggressive stance seemed the very definition of the term 'sports car'. Styling details such as the front brake ducts and hot air outlets behind the front wheelarches recalled the great competizione Ferraris of the past, while the tail incorporated Ferrari's characteristic twin circular lights. The heart of any Ferrari is its engine, and the 599's 6.0-litre V12 was a reworked version of that found in the Enzo supercar, producing a staggering 612bhp with maximum torque of 448lb/ft. Developed as part of Ferrari's Formula 1 programme, the paddle-shift gearbox had become a feature of its range-topping sports cars and was available in its latest form for the 599. A conventional six-speed gearbox was offered also. Although active suspension had long been banned from Formula 1, its development for road cars had continued and the 599 came equipped with magnetorheological 'semi-active' dampers. Damper controls were placed on the Formula 1-style steering wheel together with those for traction control and stability, as was the starter button. Ahead of the 599's fortunate driver was a central analogue rev counter flanked by a similar speedometer, and an electronic display screen for all other functions. Offered for sale by a Swiss/Italian collector, the fabulous and exclusive Ferrari supercar offered here was supplied new via the official Ferrari dealer Garage Foitek in Zürich, Switzerland and has had only one owner from new. Between February 2017 and February 2018, marking the 70th anniversary of Ferrari, this car was displayed at the Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena where it was photographed with Enzo's son Piero and John Elkann, Chairman of Ferrari, whose grandfather was Gianni Agnelli, CEO of FIAT (photograph on file). This car was and is the only 599 displayed at the Museo Ferrari for the marque's 70th anniversary and comes with its Attestato di Esposizione certificate (it should be noted that the final digit is missing from the chassis number). We are advised that the last service was carried out by Toni (Enzo Ferrari's private mechanic) in March 2018 at 22,435 kilometres. Finished in black with matching interior, this stunning 599 GTB is offered with Swiss Carte Grise; its original service booklet; and sundry invoices issued by Garage Foitek. En concevant la 599, Ferrari avait abandonné le châssis tubulaire de ses devancières 550/575, adoptant un plus moderne et plus léger châssis tout aluminium bien plus rigide.
