Recent specialist service Three former keepers The DB9 was the star of the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show where it was unveiled to the public for the very first time. This car, perhaps above any other modern Aston Martin, recaptured the imagination and spearheaded the resurgence of the British car brand. The sleek superform aluminium body was initially designed by Ian Callum but had also been significantly influenced by the next director of AM design, Hendrik Fisker. Powered by the familiar and fabulous 6.0 litre V12 engine, the Coupé was capable of a top speed of 186mph and boasted 450 bhp. The DB9 bodyshell weighed 25% less than that of the DB7 but had doubled its torsional rigidity and engineering accuracy; this ensured the chassis performance matched the engine power. Aston Martin have always made the interior of their cars a very special place to be and the DB9 was no exception. The interior was beautifully tailored with the finest of materials, including Bridge of Weir leather, aluminium and wood, with customers being offered a choice of a walnut, mahogany or bamboo finish. This stunning example was first registered on 1st June 2006 and is offered in Mako Blue with contrasting cream full leather and walnut dash. Having covered relatively few miles this example boasts a comprehensive service history with six services notably from JCT600, Stratstone and an Aston Martin specialist in both 2014 at 24,105 miles and in 2016 at 26,242 miles. The vendor has also indicated a new MOT test certificate will be supplied. Aston Martin DB9's are superb to look at and even better to drive, with this one being no exception and appearing to be fabulous value for money.
