1999 Ferrari 456 GTA Lot Number212 Registrationtbc Chassis NumberZFFWP50C000113500 Engine Number50814 Odometer reading44,230 miles Estimate£33,000 - £38,000 Print details Send this to a friend Contact us 3 more images Low mileage example Includes original leather toolkit The Ferrari 456 was the first front-engine Ferrari for 20 years and offered true performance touring for four occupants. The 456 GT was announced in September 1992, making its public show debut in Paris the following month. This was a positive and brave move by the company, as the prestige sports car markets were in recession after all the speculation and hype of the late eighties. However, they showed their commitment to broadening their range and to maintaining their position at the head of the list of the world's most desirable automobiles. The Pininfarina styled aluminium bodywork made for a pleasing design, particularly the modernised reflection of the fabled 365 GTB/4 ‘Daytona’ with the long bonnet, featuring retractable headlight pods. Also inspired by the ‘Daytona’ was the design treatment of the rear of the cabin envelope and tail. Thus, although the shape was thoroughly modern, it contained retro trace elements to associate it with the company's history. Electronically adjustable self-levelling suspension gave positive handling and a comfortable ride, while the 442bhp, V12 made sure that performance had not been overlooked. Registered in March of 1999, this stylish Ferrari looks well in Nero Black paintwork with a contrasting ivory leather interior. The file for this 456 contains a V5C registration document, a valid MoT test certificate and various service invoices, the most recent of which is for £3,987. We are informed that recent servicing works have been undertaken by the vendors mechanic. The car certainly performed well on a recent test drive. The 456 model has the practicality of four seats combined with the perfect balance of aggressiveness and elegance. This handsome automatic transmission, example awaits a new owner to enjoy it to its fullest. Interested parties should note that the cherished plate is not included in the sale. In addition to this, the electric fan must be switched on manually to cool the engine.
