1996 Range Rover 2.5 litre DSE (2.5 litre) Lot Number264 RegistrationN966MPV Chassis NumberSALLPAMW3TA339323 Odometer reading25,534 miles Estimate£7,000 - £12,000 ResultSold - £15,960 Print details Send this to a friend 7 more images After 25 years from the introduction of the first-generation Range Rover, the second-generation Range Rover, the P38A, was introduced for the 1995 model year with an updated version of the Rover V8 engines. There was also the option of a 2.5 litre BMW six-cylinder, turbo-diesel. This was a result of BMW's subsequent ownership of Rover Group and hence the Land Rover brand. The new model offered more equipment and premium trims, positioning the vehicle above the Land Rover Discovery to face the increased competition in the SUV marketplace. This model was the last to feature the Rover V8 and interior leather supplied by Connolly and the first model to feature satellite navigation as an option. UK supplied on 4th September 1996 and showing just 24,332 miles from three owners, this P38A Range Rover is finished in Rioja Red with Lightstone leather interior and walnut facings and is in simply outstanding condition throughout. Factory fitted with the 2.5 litre BMW derived diesel engine and four speed automatic gearbox, this P38A has a mileage of under 24,300 and has only done 7,500 miles in the last 12 years, according to DVLA MoT history check. The body is unmarked and the interior as almost 'as new' with the car driving as a car of this mileage should. There cannot be many other 22 year old Range Rovers in this condition and this represents a unique buying opportunity. Offered from a private collection, the vehicle will be presented to auction with an MoT test certificate valid until April 2020 and, at this mileage, it would fit nicely into a collection or used as intended. *Interested parties should note that this car does not come with the wheels photographed, however it comes with the original five spoke wheels which are currently on the car and with four brand new tyres. *
