Beschreibung:

Carte grise française normale Based on the excellent V8 light alloy engine designed at the beginning of the 1960s, Rolls Royce/Bentley diversified its products in the 1980s and gradually re-established its finances through the re-launch of the Bentley marque whose cars were traditionally endowed with greater sporting prowess. In 1982, in Geneva, the group unveiled the Bentley Mulsanne Turbo, fitted with a version of the turbocompressor from the 6.7 litre V8 engine producing 330 bhp (estimated). In 1989, the Turbo R model and the RL (long) model which succeeded it were fitted with an intercooler and KE Motronic injection and the chassis provided with a 4-speed automatic gearbox and automatic ride control. These improvements were carried over to the luxury Continental R coupe launched in Geneva in 1991, which resuscitated the prestigious name of the celebrated and very rare Continental R coupe offered in 1952. This was the performance model of the Rolls Royce/Bentley range, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in 6.6 seconds and reaching almost 250km/h in a level of comfort and luxury that belonged to that marque alone. The car has had only three owners. It was delivered new to Mr Jean Cordier, vineyard owner in the Bordelais region (Château Gruaud-Larose, Château Talbot …), who chose an appropriately "special" colour - wine sediment - for the coachwork and dashboard. On his death, the car was presented for the first time in 1996 by the firm Poulain-Le Fur which auctioned it to the chairman and managing director of an agri-food group. He used it sparingly up until 2009, when he handed it over to Artcurial on 27 April. The Bentley then became the property of one of the heirs of a large family from the north of France and made regular weekly journeys bet
