The Mercedes-Benz R107 and C107 models were manufactured from 1971 through to 1989 and were the longest running production models after the G-Class. They were sold under the SL and SLC model names as the 280SL, 280SLC, 300SL, etc. up to the 560SL. The R107 roadster has been described as one of the best looking Mercedes-Benz cars produced to date. This two owner Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster is presented in very smart order with resplendent red coachwork and contrasting cream leather trim. We are advised that it was repainted seven years ago and being a later R107, the lower panel work is factory galvanised and remains in good order today. The black soft top is in very good condition and a useful factory hardtop is also included. Importantly, this SL has a full service history with record of £6,000 spent on maintenance since 2009. More recent works include a new fuel pump and fuel injectors. This Mercedes-Benz has, since 2009, been maintained by the independent and highly respected Mercedes-Benz specialists, MotorAid of Basildon, Essex and we are informed that the service records during this period, and before, are on file with MotorAid. We are advised that this SL drives very well and has the fully working cruise control option and benefits from an MoT test certificate valid until March 2015 along with a current road fund licence. With a very keen estimate this surely represents great value for money for a very smart and well cared for Mercedes-Benz.
