La carrosserie a été entièrement mise à nu avant d'être refaite et l'ensemble des trains roulants, suspensions, amortisseurs, freins ont été remis à neuf. Avant l'achat par son propriétaire actuel, le moteur d'origine ("matching numbers") a été refait chez Porsche Kappa Pordenone en Italie et le système d'échappement est neuf. La sellerie est en cuir noir, elle aussi dans un état irréprochable. Nous précisons qu'au moment de la prise de vue, les bandeaux en caoutchouc latéraux, avant et arrière ne correspondaient pas à un modèle E, ces derniers seront donc remplacés pour la vente afin d'en respecter l'origine. Les Porsche 911 de cette période font partie des plus recherchées car elles présentent encore la pureté des lignes du premier dessin, qui bénéficie ici de l'amélioration aérodynamique procurée par le déflecteur avant. The body was completely laid bare before being redone and all the running gear, suspensions, shock absorbers, brakes were refurbished. Before being purchased by its current owner, the original engine ("matching numbers") was rebuilt by Porsche Kappa Pordenone in Italy, and the exhaust system is new too. The upholstery is in black leather also in nice condition. We noted at the time when we were photographing the car, the lateral rubber strips, at the front and rear did not correspond to an E model, but they will be substituted before the auction in order to bring the car back to its original specifications. The Porsche 911s from this period are among the most popular because they still have the purity of the lines of the first design, whilst benefiting from the improved aerodynamics provided by the front baffle. The 165bhp available in the version E provides respectable performance, especially in this Targa configuration in which one can enjoy sunny days.
