Cette superbe Pantera a été préparée au début des années 2010 par Classic Modern Racing (CMR), atelier extrêmement sérieux, connu aujourd'hui pour faire courir des Alpine A110 GT4. La voiture a été mise au point pour l'équipe de Gregory Driot, figure familière des courses historiques et qui tient sa passion de son père Jean-Paul- créateur en 1988 de l'écurie Dams. Au volant de cette Pantera, Gregory Driot a participé au Tour de Corse 2012 et aux Tour Auto 2012, 2013 et 2014, avec pour meilleur résultat une sixième place en groupe H, avec un temps scratch. L'actuel propriétaire a fait l'acquisition de la voiture en janvier 2016 dans l'idée de l'inscrire au Tour Auto, mais n'a pas trouvé le temps de mener à bien ce projet. La préparation de CMR est particulièrement soignée et concerne le châssis qui a été renforcé, la suspension, les freins, le circuit de refroidissement, la boîte et le moteur (520 ch), complètement démonté et révisé au cours de l'hiver 2015-2016. Depuis, la voiture n'a pas roulé. Selon Charly Bourachot, de CMR, cette Pantera était, à l'origine, une voiture de route, préparée à l'époque par son pilote-propriétaire Bernard Dégoût pour le championnat Montagne. Il aurait remporté le championnat de France en 1981 en Groupe 3, et aurait terminé troisième au classement général. Ensuite, dans les années 2000, cette voiture a été transformée en Groupe 4, puis confiée à CMR pour sa préparation. Dotée de baquets et de harnais récents, elle est accompagnée de son PTH précédant qui devra être renouvelé. Préparée et fiabilisée avec soin, cette Pantera constitue une alternative efficace et rapide pour prendre le départ des plus belles compétitions historiques. The actual owner bought the car in January 2016 with the view of participating at the Tour Auto but unfortunately, he has never really found the time to pursue this project. The preparation from CMR is particularly meticulous, the chassis for instance has been reinforced; suspensions, brakes, cooling system, gearbox and engine (520 hp) were completely stripped down and serviced during the winter 2015-2016. The car has not been used since.
