Beschreibung:

1972 NSU 1000C Registration No. XUF 502K Chassis No. 0621024195 Engine No. XBO28223 Red with tan upholstery. Engine: four cylinder overhead camshaft, 996cc; Gearbox: four speed manual; Brakes: front discs, rear drums; Suspension: independent all round. Right hand drive. The German company NSU actually dates back to 1892 when the initials, short for the village of Neckarsolm, were first registered. NSU began motorcycle production on some scale and became famous the world over for their innovation, design and racing success, with the car operation slowly but surely establishing itself. To many, the NSU Ro80 itself is best remembered, with its Wankel rotary engine, although ultimately this car cost the company dearly. Other models sold well, such as the air-cooled Prinz, and were followed by the comparatively larger engined 1000 and 110 models. The example on offer today is a rare survivor of the 1000C in that it has travelled just 16,538 miles from new; the car was supplied to Mrs. Dray of Hove by South Coast Motors in March 1972, being finished in Iberian red with tan interior trim. It has a stamped service record from new until February 1977 when the mileage was 13,200, at which point in time the lady owner virtually stopped using it. Indeed, it was only taken out for local shopping trips and has remained garage-stored for the last seven to eight years. The second registered lady keeper took the car on last year and it is now offered for sale. The condition is as one might expect of such a low mileage car and the Owners Handbook supplied with it is an obsolute gem to read......." The vital statistics of actresses are revealed to emphasize the pleasing harmony of their proportions. The NSU 1000C too has its charms, although not necessarily in the same places " - who could resist such an interesting car! It comes with an MoT certificate until October 2nd 1996, V5 registration document, NSU Service Record and Handbook. NO RESERVE
