Livré à Hannovre le 5 septembre 1969, il se présente de couleur bronze métallisé et cuirs d'origine rénovés couleur parchemin. De beaux équipements complètent cette voiture tels que le toit ouvrant, sa boîte automatique au volant, son poste de radio Bekcer Grand Prix, vitres électriques… Les 159 000 km qu'affichent le compteur semblent bien être ceux parcourus depuis sa sortie d'usine. Le concessionnaire Mercedes la possède depuis 25 ans et a toujours fait son bonheur par sa fiabilité, ses performances, sa légèreté et son élégance. Ce 6 cylindres développant 160ch. To accompany the 108 Series saloon, Mercedes Benz brought out the coupé in various models, including the 2.2L, 2.5L and 2.8L, all fitted with the highly popular Pagoda engine. Shortly afterwards, the 3L and 3.5L engines appeared on the market and boosted this stunning coupé's performance to a highly respectable level even by today's standards. These coupés were extremely sought after by the jet set of the era. We can still recall the car previously owned by Lino Ventura that was auctioned by Hervé Poulain a few years ago. Delivered to Hannover on 5 September 1969, the model presented is in metallic bronze with the original leather restored in a parchment colour. The beautiful equipment, including a sliding roof, automatic gearbox with levers on the steering wheel, Becker Grand Prix radio unit and electric windows, really adds the finishing touches to this car. It has clocked up 159,000 km since it first left the factory. It was owned by a Mercedes dealership for 25 years and was always a source of delight with its reliability, performance, nimbleness and elegance. Its six-cylinder engine is capable of producing 160 hp. Lively and energetic and hugely efficient, this is one of the most beautiful post-war coupés ever made.
