French registration Chassis # 047241 - Eligible for Tour Auto with the 1600 engine! - Complete with its mechanicals - "Barn find" but very well preserved - Registered in France - No reserve Normally, the brand of this car has only three letters "BSH", but in this case, the first owner was a Mr. Guiry who registered it on his name. The type recorded in the vehicle registration is Original, which makes sense for the BSH as it was sold in kit form to mount on a Renault 8 Gordini base generally. The name matched the initials of François Benais and Max Saint-Hilaire, two enthusiasts who started the production of this very well-designed and conceived concept, following the English fashion for those sports cars which allowed humble enthusiasts to afford their dream by assembling their own automobile. The production of BSH coupes didn't exceed 50 units, manufactured at an irregular rhythm: such handcraft projects led sometimes to approximated adjustments of the body. But these real prototypes had a good experience in competition in including at the 1971 Tour Auto, while powered by a 1600 engine. After Mr. Guiry, the car on offer was registered 6550 MB 78 in December 1977, before becoming in 1999, the property of a Mr. Mattana. It was finally rediscovered in 2005 by the current owner. This car is in an amazingly well preserved 'barn find stat. It appears to be complete with all its instruments, bucket seats (without upholstery), its lamps are intact. It is fitted with Renault 8 Gordini windows and mechanicals. This is a fantastic restoration project which will surely become a spectacular and unique sports car
