Beschreibung:

Recognised almost as readily as the immortal Beetle itself and with a cult following all of its own, the Karmann-Ghia was hand built by Karmann at its Osnabruck works. VW's top-of-the-range coupe married a modified export Beetle floorpan, running gear and engine/transmission package to stylish coachwork by Carrozzeria Ghia. Launched in 1955 in 1,200cc form, the Karmann-Ghia kept abreast of mainstream Beetle developments, gaining all-synchromesh transmission and progressively larger and more-powerful engines while undergoing the occasional styling makeover. This beautiful example of the model's final form was purchased by the present owner in Los Angeles, California in 1999 and brought to the UK fully tax paid. The car was MoT'd in September 1999 but has never been used on UK roads. Benefiting from a new hood fitted immediately prior to purchase and enhanced by tasteful alloy wheels, the car is finished in magenta with black interior and is described by the private vendor as in good condition throughout. Offered with old logbook and fresh MoT, the vehicle is expected to possess a Swansea V5 registration document by time of sale. Driving superbly, this has to be one of the best available in terms of both condition and originality.
