Beschreibung:

The first of countless upgrades to Porsche's perennial 911 came in 1966, two years after production had commenced, with the introduction of the 911S. Easily distinguishable by its stylish Fuchs alloy wheels, the 'S' featured a heavily revised engine producing 160bhp. Improved handling courtesy of a lengthened wheelbase arrived in 1969 and then in 1970 the 911's air-cooled, flat six engine underwent the first of many enlargements - to 2.2 litres. By this time the models on offer had stabilised at three: the 911T, 911E and 911S, all of which were available as either a closed coupé or Targa convertible. With the 2.2-litre engine's arrival, a common type of cylinder head was adopted, the differing power outputs being determined principally by valve timing rather than valve sizes as had been the case hitherto. First seen in 2.0-litre guise in 1969, the 911E was positioned between the entry level 'T' and top-of-the-range 'S', producing a maximum power output of 155bhp (DIN) in upgraded 2.2-litre form. This manual transmission 911E is described as partially restored, the chassis having undergone refurbishment in 2011. Finished in the rare and sought after original Porsche gold with brown/black interior, the Porsche currently displays a total of 58,541 kilometres on the odometer and is described as in generally very good condition, having completed the Coupe Des Alpes and Rally Des Cathedrales in 2011. The car is offered with Monaco registration papers, technical inspection and professional French 'rapport d'expertise' dated July 2011.
