L'un des grands noms du sport automobile français d'après-guerre, Alpine, était la création du fils d'un garagiste de Dieppe, Jean Rédélé qui commença à développer une version compétition de la 4 CV Renault au début des années 1950 qui remporta sa classe aux Mille Miglia trois années consécutives. La plus populaire des Alpine fut l'A 110 qui est ici proposée dans sa forme la plus courante, la version 1600 cm3. Produite de 1962 à 1977, cette sportive charismatique se mesurait à la Porsche 911 pour les performances tout en étant plus exclusive, les Alpine, construites artisanalement, ne quittant l'usine qu'au rythme de 10 par semaine. On sait peu de chose de l'histoire de cette A 110 qui était aux caractéristiques actuelles lorsqu'elle fut achetée par son premier propriétaire à l'usine Alpine en 1976. Immatriculée 2895 GX 76, elle était vendue par l'usine comme « mulet » d'usine, mais on ne peut le confirmer avec certitude. En 1980 elle passait à son second propriétaire (français) qui la céda au vendeur en 1996, date depuis laquelle le moteur a été refait. Aucun des trois propriétaires ne l'a jamais engagée en compétition, sauf à des rencontres historiques, comme par exemple celle de Montlhéry. 17544 conserve sa carrosserie, ses autocollants, son moteur, son arceau et d'autres éléments, d'origine et se présente en très bon état général. Dotée d'une carte grise française, cette Alpine fera une voiture de rallye historique idéale. In 1980 the Alpine passed to the second (French) owner, who sold it to the current vendor in 1996, since when the engine has been overhauled. We are advised that none of the three owners ever raced the car competitively except at historic meetings such as Monthléry, for example. '17544' retains its original bodywork, decals, engine, roll cage, etc and is described as in generally very good condition. Offered with French Carte Grise, this Alpine would make an ideal historic rally car.
