Pour les années 1969, 70 et 71, ce dernier remporte la classe 1300 du championnat de Hongrie au volant d'une R8 Gordini, qui n'est autre que l'exemplaire présenté pour l'année 1969. Il cède la voiture à Budapest en mai 1970 au profit d'une nouvelle monture pour la saison suivante. La voiture connaîtra deux autres propriétaires avant d'être achetée par l'actuel en 2005. Elle a bénéficié d'une restauration complète, tout en conservant sa configuration course, équipée de sièges baquets, de harnais modernes et d'un arceau. Le moteur 1300 Gordini d'origine, trop endommagé pour être conservé, a été remplacé par un élément restauré en stricte configuration d'origine, à l'exception de la boite à air, avantageusement remplacée par des cornets. Elle est équipée de jantes larges en acier chaussées de pneus Yokohama ayant nécessité l'adaptation de discrets élargisseurs d'ailes à l'avant.
