Beschreibung:

The Pontiac Firebird was built by the Pontiac division of General Motors between 1967 and 2002. The Firebird was introduced the same year as its platform-sharing cousin, the Chevrolet Camaro. This coincided with the release of the 1967 Mercury Cougar, which shared its platform with another pony car, the Ford Mustang. The Pontiacs were, for the most part, powered by various V8 engines of different GM divisions. While primarily Pontiac-powered until 1977, Firebirds were built with several different engines from nearly every GM division until 1982 when all Pontiac engines were dropped in favor of corporate units. This striking red Firebird is a much sought-after matching numbers car powered by the more desirable V8 engine: the 326 CID 5.3L, 5360CC with a two-barrel carburetor produces 250 hp delivered through the accurate auto gearbox. From the cockpit, the driver enjoys open-top driving and a wonderful exhaust note in a car which epitomises the enjoyment of American Muscle Car motoring. These iconic vehicles have a strong following in the UK today, and in particular the Brooklands Motor Museum do much to promote American Cars and continue to gather support for muscle cars of the 60's and 70's. This example is a much coveted and beautifully maintained original motor car, offered with supporting documentation, and is priced attractively to sell.
