French title Chassis n°10901812001721 Engine n°10098112001763 - Collection Mercedes-Benz France - Elegant colour combination - Conserved in nice condition - 250 bhp in total comfort - No reserve According to the original "Datenkarte", this car left the factory on 28 March 1969. First registered on 17 April 1969, it was delivered new in metallic silver grey with dark blue roof, and retains this livery today. The options included a Becker Grand Prix radio and Clarion 8-cassette stereo, sunroof, chrome hub-caps with roof-coloured centres, two front armrests and air-conditioning. This highly luxurious car was acquired by Mercedes-Benz France in 1997, from a private individual living in Versailles, who had owned it since 1988. The mileage was shown on the odometer as 66 300 km in 1998, and there is a file with maintenance invoices from this date. In 2003, the top end of the engine was serviced, and the block is original. The seals on the gearbox have been re-done and the silentblocs on the engine and front sub-frame have been replaced. In 2017, a full maintainance was carried out, including all four tyres, the fluids and the spark plugs. Given a new coat of paint several years ago, the bodywork is in lovely condition, as is the chromework. Inside, the original dark blue velours and matching carpets show a few minor signs of wear but are generally in well-preserved condition. Fitted with the same 6.3-litre V8 engine as the 600, this Mercedes offers a high level of finish combined with a 250 bhp engine that gives the car a surprising turn of speed, given its size.
