Beschreibung:

Synonymous with the swinging `60s and the hit TV Series Inspector Morse, the Mk. II was undoubtedly the most admired saloon to emanate from Jaguar's hallowed Browns Lane factory. Featuring notably slimmer roof pillars than its Mk. I predecessor, the immortal Mk. II was as airy on the inside as it was elegant on the outside. The interior was quintessentially British with its sumptuous leather-covered seats, polished wood facia and door cappings, extensive instrumentation and impressive row of auxiliary toggle switches. These cars punched well above their weight. Equipped with either a 3.4 litre or 3.8 engine, the Jaguar was capable of sprinting to 60mph in as little as 8.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 125mph - small wonder that it was the first choice of both bank robbers and the police of the period! This Jaguar 340 was originally registered on 25 th October 1967 and was a one owner car until 2003 when the current vendor purchased the car. She is in a very original condition and shows no real sign of any corrosion, the paintwork even has been polished through to the primer in places. Sitting proudly on chrome wire wheels, OYV 867F is fitted with automatic transmission and power steering making this Jaguar a delight to drive. The low mileage of 59,786 is warranted and confirmed by a magnificent history folder with bills and receipts from when the car was new. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 11 th April 2018, this Jaguar has been lady owned since 2003 and has been used sparingly throughout that time. Without doubt one of the nicest and most original cars you could find.
