Beschreibung:

The Ford Mustang is an American icon and was originally based on the Ford Falcon compact. The first production Mustang rolled off the assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan in March 1964 and was introduced to the public at the New York World's Fair on 17th April 1964. It was, and remains, one of the most successful product launches in automotive history. The Mustang sold over one million units in its first 18 months on the market. 1966 was the last year Ford offered the original Mustang Fastback and it proved to be a stellar year in sales. In all, about 35,000 Mustang Fastbacks were produced in 1966 with just 7889 being 'Luxury' versions consequently making this model highly sought after by Mustang collectors. The '66 model Fastback featured a re-designed grill, new instrument cluster and new styled wheels. An automatic gearbox option was also introduced for the V8. Although other Mustangs sported the Mustang Pony emblem directly behind the front wheel wells, the GT Mustang featured a special GT emblem in its place. This superb 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback was assembled in Dearborn and is an 'A' code car and fitted with the desirable manual gearbox. Finished in white with red stripes with a black and red interior and sitting on Shelby wheels, it looks striking from every angle having been subject to a frame off restoration. The engine benefits from a Ford racing 'dress up' kit enhancing performance even further. This Fastback is supplied with an MoT test certificate which expires in February 2017 and, by the time of auction, should have its V5 registration document issued; all import duties have been paid. Arguably the best shape Mustang ever built and very much in demand.
