1964 ALFA ROMEO 1600 GIULIA SPIDER Châssis no. 374928 La Giulia Spider reprend les traits élégants de carrosserie de la Giulietta. Cette petite voiture nerveuse et agile est présentée en juin 1962 avec la Giulia Ti et la 1600 Sprint. La Giulia Sprint série 101 fut construite en 1962 et 1963. Bien qu'elle bénéficia de la motorisation 1570 cm3 de la Giulia Ti, Alfa Romeo ne lui donna pas le code 105 de la Giulietta et il en fût de même pour la Giulia Spider tipo 10123. Ces spiders ont été produits de 1962 à 1965 à 9256 exemplaires. Le modèle présenté est donc un Spider 1600 type 10123 qui est entre les mains du propriétaire actuel depuis 1989, 21 ans donc. Elle est présentée dans sa livrée Rosso Alfa classique et est dotée d'un volant 3 branches en aluminium, d'un intérieur en cuir noir et non pas en skaï, de son hard-top d'origine. Lorsque le propriétaire en prend livraison à l'époque, le compteur indiquait 70 000km, ceux d'origine, au vue de l'état de l'auto. La voiture a participé à de nombreux rallyes dont celui des Pyrénées organisé par les anglais. Son propriétaire nous la décrit avec émotion comme une automobile légère, freinant bien, étanche sous la pluie et formidable décapotée sous le soleil où elle prend toute son ampleur. Il nous précise également qu'il a quasiment " tout changé et tout rénové " sur sa Giulia : moteur, boîte, pont, amortisseurs, chromes refaits et nouvelle peinture, travaux réalisés sur factures présentées dans le dossier important joint avec la voiture. Le propriétaire actuel, amoureux de sa belle italienne tient à dire : " Naturellement, cette petite merveille m'a coûté deux fois ce que le nouvel acquéreur va payer mais quand on aime, on ne compte pas et, c'est bien connu, si on ne veut rien dépenser, on ne choisit pas une Alfa ! ". En résumé, ce n'est pas une auto "importante" c'est juste une auto "plaisir" qui doit continuer à vivre sa vie avec des gens de qualité qui vont l'apprécier.
