Elle fait partie des premiers modèles de Type E et comporte donc les fameux "planchers plats" qui les caractérisent. De teinte bleu-gris avec intérieur en cuir noir, elle a fait l'objet d'une restauration ancienne. Nous avons noté une réparation ancienne du côté avant droit de la caisse. Une précédente carte grise montre qu'elle a appartenu à la collection Brignole, à partir de 1984. Son actuel propriétaire en a fait l'acquisition en 2010. Il a procédé à une remise en état mécanique et, à cette occasion, un démarreur plus puissant et un alternateur ont été posés, tandis que les tubulures d'échappement ont été remplacées. Les sièges ont été refaits, les pneus Michelin sont en bon état et un rapport d'expertise daté de 2015 indique que la voiture est en bon état général. Cette configuration 3,8 litres Série 1 reste la plus pure et la plus désirable des Type E. Même si le cabriolet offre un agrément particulier grâce à son habitacle découvrable, sur le plan esthétique le coupé est absolument imbattable et représente un sommet que peu de voitures ont pu égaler depuis son lancement en 1961, au Salon de Genève.
