Featuring a distinctive bonnet topped by two 'frog-eye' headlamps, defining the model's instant recognition, Healey made use of existing BMC parts, using the very tuneable 43bhp version of the overhead-valve 948cc A-Series engine, sporting twin SU carburettors, and the shared A35 gearbox and axles. Nothing in its class was able to compete on either price or performance and the model was a huge success in the three years of production. Finished in the attractive combination of Burgundy with a white centre stripe and matching red carpets this particular Frogeye has been subtely enhanced. Extras include a single twin-choke Weber DCOE40 and 45D non vacuum distributor fitted to the Gold Seal replacement engine, a Mota-Lita steering wheel, Denis Welch bucket seats, Securon full harnesses, fire extinguisher, heater, luggage rack and triple air horns.
