C'est en 1959 qu'elle s'éclipsera au profit de la nettement plus répandue Mark II. L'exemplaire présenté, équipé de la boîte manuelle, a été acheté par le père de l'actuel propriétaire alors qu'il était déjà en Grèce. Son élégante carrosserie a été repeinte dans une seyante livrée bleue, et l'intérieur en cuir beige, avec moquettes assorties a également été restauré. Lorsque l'on s'installe à bord, on remarque que le luxueux tableau de bord en bois est complet et conforme à l'origine. Des ceintures de sécurité ont été installées à l'avant. Indeed, thanks to the adoption of a monocoque bodywork which was a first for Jaguar, this modern saloon provided a compact, low and sleek design, while the engine was none other than the XK block with short stroke. It was in 1959 that this model faded out in order to make way for the much more popular Mark II. Fitted with a manual gearbox, this particular example was purchased by the current owner's father while it was already in Greece. Its elegant bodywork was repainted in an attractive blue livery and the beige leather interior (with matching carpets) has also been restored. Inside, the luxurious wooden dashboard is complete and compliant to its original specification. Seat belts have been fitted at the front.
