Beschreibung:

Ariel introduced the KH Red Hunter in 1948, a twin cylinder model aimed at capturing back from Triumph some of the market advantage that Edward Turner’s twin had stolen. The KH was the more sporting of the two post-war Ariel twins and Motor Cycling claimed a top speed of 93mph on test. The 499cc engine developed 26bhp at 6,500rpm but for the 1954 season onwards 28bhp at 6,200rpm was quoted. The KH was to remain in production until 1957. This late example was first registered in York in July 1957 and retains its original registration number. At some stage it has had an engine change and the engine currently fitted dates from 1951/52. The bike has been in the present ownership for approximately twenty years during which time it has benefited from an engine overhaul. It comes with road fund licence valid to 30th April 2009 along with expired MoT certificates, the most recent valid to December 2008. It is offered also with old style V5 registration document and Swansea V5C document.
