1955 Peugeot 203 cabriolet Carte grise française Châssis n° 1734004 - État d'origine rare - Trois propriétaires seulement - Voiture soigneusement mise au point Le rêve américain : c'est cette influence qui transparaît à travers la forme de la 203 qui, au lendemain de la guerre, annonce le renouveau de la marque de Sochaux. La production totale de coupés et cabriolets se limitera à 3 500 exemplaires, dont 70% de cabriolets. Avec moins de 2 600 exemplaires c'est une version très nettement plus rare que la berline. Ce cabriolet 203 a été livré neuf aux Pays-Bas, au distributeur Peugeot Nefkens, qui l'a conservé pendant presque 50 ans. Il n'a connu ensuite qu'un seul autre propriétaire au Pays-Bas avant d'être vendue lors d'une vente Artcurial en 2013 à son propriétaire actuel, un important collectionneur français, ce qui en fait une troisième main. La voiture est dans un superbe état d'origine et comporte encore son thème de couleurs d'origine, carrosserie noire et intérieur rouge, la sellerie ayant été refaite au cours de la vie de la voiture. Elle est équipée de ses outils d'origine ainsi que d'un très joli jeu de bagages se logeant parfaitement dans le coffre, et tout est attractif dans sa présentation : la carrosserie, la peinture, l'habitacle, les accessoires, les enjoliveurs additionnels, la capote et sa housse. Récemment, le mécanicien personnel de notre collectionneur a entièrement révisée cette 203, apportant un grand soin à sa mise au point ce qui a été grandement confirmé par un essai de la voiture. Son fonctionnement est très agréable, la voiture étant confortable tout en étant précise et vive. Il est rare de trouver un tel historique et une authenticité aussi indiscutable. This 203 convertible was delivered new in the Netherlands by Peugeot distributor Nefkens and it stayed with the first owner for almost 50 years. The car has known one other Dutch owner before being purchased by its current French owner in an Artcurial auction in 2013, making it third hand. It still has its original colour scheme - a black body with red interior, though the upholstery has been redone over the life of the car. It is equipped with its original tools and a lovely luggage set fitting perfectly in the trunk. Everything is attractive in its presentation: the body, paint, interior, accessories, additional trims, as well as the hood and cover. This 203 has been recently overhauled with great care by the personal mechanic of our collector, which was greatly confirmed by a test drive of the car. The handling is very pleasant, the car being comfortable while precise and lively. It is indeed rare to find such a car with impeccable history and an authenticity that is indisputable.
