Beschreibung:

1941 CADILLAC SERIES 62 COUPE Chassis No. 8355524 Blue metallic with striped grey cloth upholstery Engine: eight cylinder L-head, 346ci., 150bhp at 3,400rpm; Gearbox: three speed manual; Suspension: independent front with rear leaf springs; Brakes: hydraulic drums all around. Left hand drive. In 1941 Cadillac offered six different series to choose from and a total of 19 different body styles allowed the potential buyer nearly unlimited choices. Of the six different series, three were brand new. All of Cadillac's extensively restyled 1941 cars got a massive new rectangular grille and front end assembly. The new grille was a broad, vertical design with a forward-thrusted center section and eight horizontal chrome bars. The handsome grille set the style for Cadillac's frontal appearance for many years to come and was widely imitated by other manufacturers, including GM's Chevrolet. Headlights were built into the wide new front fenders with rectangular parking and turn signal lamps incorporated into the upper, outer edges of the grille. The massive new grille and long flowing fenders extended into the doors, all complementing the 1941 Cadillac's crisp overall body form. Using the similar 'Torpedo' body styles as the 1941 LaSalles, the coupes were stunning. The 61 Series coupes were of the fastback body style, while the 62 Series were standard-style coupes. They were all trimmed with two sets of three chrome spears on both front and rear quarter panels. Additionally, they came equipped with rear fender skirts wearing the distinctive 1941 Cadillac badging on the side. Mr. Brown purchased this Cadillac Coupe a little over two years ago from an Ohio collector. The car appears to have been restored some time ago. This attractive Series 62 is fitted with correct driving lights and whitewall tires. A classic example of the 1941 model year, this 62 Series Cadillac is considered a Full Classic by the CCCA and would be a welcome addition on many tours and events. WITHOUT RESERVE
