Beschreibung:

1934 Clint Brown U.S. All-Star Tour of Japan Presentational Album Significant presentational album as given to Clint Brown as a member of the U.S. All-Star Tour of Japan. Leather bound album presented to tour members with content relating to the trip. Album reads right to left per Japanese custom, and retains its very rare original leather cover with Japanese characters. Interior includes team autographed sheets for both the American and Japanese teams (two pages) with beautiful ink signatures. U.S. players include Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Mack, Gomez, Berg, Gehringer and Averill. Signatures range from 9-10 out of 10. The page itself has some very minor soiling. Japanese players have signed on two different pages including Jimmy Horio, who signed in English and Japanese, and pitcher Victor Starffin. Remainder of the book contains a total of (24) original images taken during the Tour. Each photo measures 9"x11" and is mounted on cabinet mount stock album pages. Subjects include Ruth, Gehrig, Mack, U.S./Japanese teams, stadium views and Ocean liner views. Two images have small corner creases mentioned for accuracy only. Balance of the photos remains very clean. The original leather covers remain uncommonly clean retaining their original gilt decor. One of only a handful of these treasured albums extant. Includes full LOAs from PSA/DNA and JSA (autographs) along with letter of provenance from the Brown family: Autograph sheets: NM, Covers: Range VG-EX/MT, Interior photo pages: Range EX (only two images)-NM
