Öl auf Leinwand. Verso sign., 1983 dat. und bet. Verso auf dem Keilrahmen und auf der umgeschlagenen Leinwand jeweils mit den Künstlerstempeln versehen, dort beide handschriftlich mit der Werknummer «1463» num. Verso auf dem Keilrahmen bez. «R» und zwei gedruckte Etiketten der Galerie Dr. Luise Krohn, Badenweiler.
H. 90, B. 65 cm (Bildträger). Ungerahmt.
Als einer der führenden Künstler der konkreten Farbmalerei widmet sich Piero Dorazio den Phänomenen von Licht und Farbe in seinen Werken. Inspiration fand er im Expressionismus, Kubismus und Surrealismus, wobei Dorazios Œuvre stets von seiner charakteristischen, konsequenten Geometrie und Struktur durchzogen ist. Für seine abstrakte Bildsprache verwendet Dorazio überwiegend Grundfarben, die er in unterschiedlichen Mustern überlagert, vereint, aneinanderreiht und in Serie wiederholt.

Zustandsbericht:
Guter Gesamteindruck. Farbfrische Erhaltung, Bildkanten und -ecken leicht ber., u.r. kaum merklicher Kratzer (ca. 1 cm) an der Bildkante, stellenweise winzige Flecken (ca. 1 bis 3 mm) wohl atelierbedingt.

Oil on canvas. Verso signed, dated 1983 and titled. Verso on the stretcher and on the canvas overlap each with the artist's stamp, there both numbered with the work number «1463». Verso on the stretcher inscribed «R» and two printed labels from the Galerie Dr. Luise Krohn, Badenweiler.
H 90, W 65 cm (support). Unframed.
As one of the leading artists of concrete art, Piero Dorazio was dedicated to the phenomena of light and colour in his works. Finding inspiration in Expressionism, Cubism and Surrealism, Dorazio's œuvre always displayed the for him characteristic consistent geometry and structure. For his abstract visual language, Dorazio predominantly used primary colours, which he overlays, combines, strings together and repeats in a series of different patterns.

Condition report:
Good overall impression. Colour fresh condition, edges and corners slightly rubbed, barely noticeable scratch (approx. 1 cm) lower right, here and there tiny stains (approx. 1 to 3 mm) presumably from the making.
