La roue de secours est reléguée à l'arrière, ce qui dégage le flanc, même si l'entrée continue à ne se faire que d'un seul côté. Dans la foulée, la 5 HP adopte en 1925 des ailes dites "rondes", sans nervure, identiques à celles de la 10 HP tout acier. Sur le plan mécanique, son refroidissement est amélioré par la présence d'un ventilateur. La 5 HP va rencontrer un important succès et, en 1925, ses chiffres de production égalent ceux de la totalité des 10 HP. Si elle disparaît du catalogue en 1927, c'est parce qu'André Citroën souhaite rester fidèle à sa politique du modèle unique. La 5 HP encore en pleine gloire s'efface derrière la nouvelle B14 à carrosserie tout acier. Achetée en 2000 par André Trigano, cette Type C3 "Trèfle" a fait l'objet d'une restauration complète et de qualité. Les boiseries ont été refaites et la peinture est de belle facture. Les chromes sont en bon état et l'intérieur en skaï noir a été refait avec soin. La capote est impeccable et des clignotants ont été ajoutés, pour une meilleure sécurité dans la circulation. La mécanique a visiblement été remise en état. Cette petite Citroën symbolise toute la réussite de la marque et, avec ses trois places en trèfle et sa couleur jaune caractéristique, elle correspond au modèle de 5 HP le plus emblématique.
