Beschreibung:

1924 ROLLS-ROYCE SILVER GHOST "UTILITY" Registration No. MO 3534 Chassis No. 57LM Engine No. 4700154/4 (see below) Right hand drive The Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost model is perhaps one of the most famous models ever produced in the history of the motor car. It was first conceived by Henry Royce in 1905 and production began in 1907. The name being derived from the demonstration chassis No13 which had silver painted coachwork and silver plated fittings. The original design was so good that production lasted until 1925. Rolls-Royce only built the chassis and engines and the prospective owner could select his own coachwork and builder. Due to the strength of the design many Silver Ghosts were rebodied many times in their life and this is just one such example. Whilst originally bodied as an Enclosed Drive Limousine by Barker, this example, as recently discovered, had been turned into a utility vehicle with a Paxman Ricardo Type 4RPB deisel engine fitted. It is generally in a poor state with many parts missing, however many Silver Ghosts have been resurrected from conditions far worse. NO RESERVE
