1924 Citroën 5HP Cabriolet 2 places No reserve COLLECTION PAUL THANRY Carte grise française Châssis n°43308 Moteur n° VA24119 - Restauration ancienne depuis le châssis - Avantages de la version cabriolet - Côte d'amour importante - Sans réserve Celle qui deviendra la célèbre 5 HP est lancée au Salon de Paris 1921 sous la forme d'un petit torpédo dit Type C qui évoluera en C2 (avec un châssis renforcé) et en C3 (empattement allongé). La C3 est proposée en torpédo et en cabriolet deux places ainsi qu'en torpédo trois places en trèfle. Le cabriolet a un habitacle légèrement reculé (auvent plus long), un pare-brise à deux glaces dont une fixe en partie basse et des glaces latérales montantes offrant une meilleure protection aux intempéries. Le charmant cabriolet que nous présentons était immatriculé dans le Rhône en 1966, puis est passé aux mains d'un mécanicien de l'Ain en 1970 qui procèdera à sa restauration complète depuis le châssis avant de la vendre, en décembre 1993 à Monsieur Thanry. Cette jolie restauration ancienne a respecté la configuration d'origine de la voiture, à l'exception des feux arrière. Il conviendra de lui faire bénéficier d'une remise en route et d'une révision complète, celle-ci n'ayant pas roulé depuis 2012. Offrant l'agrément des voitures ouvertes tout en bénéficiant de la protection de ses vitres montantes, la version cabriolet est certainement le modèle le plus homogène de ce succès populaire qu'est la 5HP. The C3 was offered as a two-seater torpedo and convertible as well as a three-seater trefoil torpedo. The convertible had a slightly set back interior (longer awning), a windshield with two windows, one of which was fixed at the bottom, and rising side windows offering better protection against bad weather. The charming convertible we are offering was registered in the Rhône region in 1966, then passed into the hands of a mechanic from Ain in 1970 who carried out its complete restoration from the chassis upwards before selling it in December 1993 to Mr. Thanry. This lovely old restoration has respected the original configuration of the car, with the exception of the rear lamps. It will have to be given a restart and a complete overhaul, since it has not been driven since 2012. Offering the convenience of an open car, while benefiting from the protection of its winding windows, the convertible version is certainly the most attractive model from amongst the 5HP range.
