1923 Amilcar CC biplace sport No reserve Carte grise française Châssis n° 3590 Moteur n° 3684 - Fonctionnement satisfaisant - Modèle sympathique - Marque emblématique La marque Amilcar est née de la création d'une catégorie fiscale allégée pour les cyclecars. Son nom provient de deux investisseurs, Joseph Lamy et Émile Akar, qui ont trouvé chez André Morel, pilote connu et Edmont Moyet, qui avait travaillé pour la marque Zèbre, le projet de cyclecar qu'ils attendaient. Ainsi, le modèle CC, leur première réalisation, répondait à la législation en vigueur qui accordait des avantages fiscaux aux cyclecars, pour autant qu'ils pèsent moins de 350 kg, qu'ils possèdent 2 places maximum et que leur moteur ne dépasse pas 1 100 cm3. Comme il était léger, le CC marchait bien et allait contribuer à populariser le cyclecar auprès des jeunes sportifs. La voiture que nous présentons faisait partie de la collection d'un amateur français et elle est aujourd'hui entre les mains de sa fille, elle aussi passionnée de voitures anciennes. Ce sympathique cyclecar est doté d'une carrosserie sport biplace en aluminium. Il comporte de beaux phares Marchal à l'avant et le tableau de bord, en aluminium bouchonné, présente un joli commutateur Amilcar. La voiture est dotée d'un volant bois à quatre branches en aluminium et d'un pare-brise incliné en deux parties. Pour des raisons de commodité et de facilité d'utilisation, cette Amilcar a été équipée d'un ventilateur électrique et d'un démarreur électrique, proposé en option à l'époque. Un essai du véhicule a révélé son bon fonctionnement, avec un freinage satisfaisant malgré l'absence de freins avant, et un moteur volontaire, émettant un son tout à fait grisant ! Il démarre à la première sollicitation, quelle que soit sa température et, une fois à bord, on ne souhaite qu'aller musarder sur les petites routes de campagne ou se rendre sur le circuit de Montlhéry et s'imaginer aux grandes heures des Grand Prix cycelcars. Thus, the CC model, their first model, was designed keeping in mind the legislation that provided tax benefits to cyclecars, provided that they weigh less than 350kg, and that they had seating for maximum two people, and that the engine did not exceed 1 100cc. As it was light, the CC worked very well and would help popularize the cyclecar. The car on offer is part of the collection of a French enthusiast and is now in the hands of his daughter, who is also passionate of classic cars. This delightful little cyclecar has a two-seater sports body in aluminium. It features beautiful Marchal headlamps at the front and the dashboard is in turned aluminum and has a pretty Amilcar switch. The car has a wooden four spoke steering wheel and aluminum raked two parts windshield. For reasons of convenience and ease of use, this Amilcar was equipped with an electric fan and an electric starter, optional at the time. A test drive revealed the car's proper functioning, with satisfactory braking despite the lack of front brakes, and the little engine is quite exhilarating indeed! It starts at the first crank, regardless of its temperature and, once on board, we could imagine either negotiating tight country roads or going to the circuit of Montlhery, and reliving the heydays of the Grand Prix for cycelcars.
