All are uncertified and housed in a Capital Plastics holder. Included are: 1867 Indian Cent. Well struck throughout, save for the hair ribbon which is slightly soft. Each side presents an even tan-brown finish. This proof issue had a total production of just 725 coins, and relatively few survive today. 1867 Two Cent Piece. A fully struck and well preserved example with a lovely mahogany-brown appearance. The fields modest reflectivity which is typical for this issue. In fact, this finish is frequently seen on relatively high-grade proofs. 1867 Three Cent Nickel Piece. From 1865 through 1873, the U.S. Mint produced both three cent nickels and three cent silvers, a peculiar historical fact which is explained in The Guide Book of United States Coins by the simple statement that: "Nickel three cent pieces were produced because their silver counterpart was hoarded by the public." Here is a well struck, carefully preserved proof example with smooth, reflective surfaces and light golden color on both sides. 1866 Three Cent Silver Piece. An attractive three cent silver proof example with noticeable reflectivity in the fields, and warm dove-gray and russet-tan toning. These small, odd denomination coins were only minted for 22 years. 1867 No Rays Shield Nickel. An early shield nickel proof, moreover one showing flashy, nicely reflective luster, fully struck devices, and excellent surface preservation. Only 600 + proofs were struck. 1867 Liberty Seated Half Dime. Sharply struck with attractive copper-tan patina and well preserved surfaces. Reflectivity in the fields can be confirmed by slightly tilting the coin under a lamp. 1867 Liberty Seated Dime. An impressively crisp striking impression is the most noteworthy attribute of this specimen. Many Liberty Seated dimes are seen with incomplete definition on Liberty's head, hair detail, and right (facing) hand, but this piece is definitely not one of those. The coin also exhibits warm, reddish-mahogany and gray toning. Aside from a few squiggly lint marks, the surfaces are expertly preserved and blemish-free. 1867 Liberty Seated Quarter. The smooth, unmarked surfaces show deep copper-brown patina. Some weakness is noted on the obverse stars and Liberty's head detail, the reverse is sharp. There are no outwardly distracting contact marks or other blemishes. 1867 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. This beautiful well matched proof is nicely contrasted in finish with vibrant, moderately patinated features. Fully struck, nicely preserved, and a perfect match to this proof collection. 1867 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. Each detail of the elegant, classic design is crisply and fully executed. Lovely, mahogany-red tones adorn both sides giving the initial appearance of a copper pattern dollar. The exquisitely preserved surfaces are free of mentionable distractions. As mentioned above, this 10 piece proof set is housed in a white Capital Plastics holder. The coins range in grade from Proof 60 to Proof 64, in our opinion. They are all uncertified. An exceptional set for an exceptional collection. Proof / Choice Proof
