1849-1944, a valuable mainly unused/mint and used collection in a Lighthouse hingeless album, including selections of 1849-50 "Ceres Head" values to 1f. (2), 25c. blue with part original gum; 1853-60 "Napoleon Head" imperf values to 1f. (8); 1862 and 1863-70 "Napoleon Head" mixed unused and used to 80c. (14); 1869 5f. used (possibly torn); 1870-71 "Bordeaux" values to 80c., including 30c. brown and 40c. orange used (both with four margins) and 80c. bright rose with part original gum; 1876-81 "Peace and Commerce" to 1f. mixed unused and used, with 1876 75c. carmine 'N' under 'B' with some original gum; 1877-90 "Peace and Commerce" to 5f., mostly unused with 3c. ochre on yellow, 25c. bistre on yellow, 50c. rose (2) and 5f. lilac on pale lilac; 1900-29 "Merson" mint to 20f., with 2f. deep lilac and buff a corner example with full original gum, apparently unmounted, and with partial offset; 1903-29 "Sowers" various types to 1f.40; 1917-19 War Orphans' Fund set to 5f.+5f.; and 1922-44 virtually complete mint with Air, Charity, Exhibition, Minature sheets, including 1925 Paris Exhibition, (2, one used) both affected by some tone spots, and 1937 PEXIP (2, one used), and Postage Dues issues; Also a selection of covers including "Ceres" and "Napoleon" head issues, imperf. and perf., a good range of frankings with various cancellations, instructional and transit markings; Mostly good to fine and viewing recommended.
