«Deckelvase mit Putten».
Entwurf 1902, Ausführung Karlsruher Majolika. Gelbroter Scherben, auf gelblichweißem Grund blau bemalt und glasiert. Balustervase mit glockenförmigem, reliefiertem Deckel mit braunem Knauf. Umlaufend Darstellung von fünf Puttengruppen auf Wolkenband, gerahmt von einem ornamentalen Fisch- bzw. Schmetterlingsfries. Manufakturmarke und Modellnr. 42.
H. 49, D. 25 cm.
Die musizierenden Wolkenengel finden sich in vergleichbaren Darstellungen auch in Thomas malerischem Werk. Die Ornamente an Fuß und Hals der Vase entstammen dem Entwurf von Wilhelm Süs.

Sehr guter Zustand. Vereinzelt winzige produktionsbedingte Glasurfehlstellen, Glasur am Deckel mit stellenweise min. Gelbstich.

«Deckelvase mit Putten (lidded vase with putti)».
Designed in 1902, manufactured by Karlsruher Majolika. Yellow-red pottery, yellowish-white base, painted in blue and glazed. Baluster-shaped vase with bell-shaped lid in relief with brown knob. All-round depiction of five putti groups on a band of clouds, framed by an ornamental fish resp. butterfly frieze. Manufacturer's mark and model number 42.
H 49, Diam. 25 cm.
Music playing putti on clouds can also be found in comparable depictions in Thoma's painterly work. The ornaments on the base and neck of the vase were designed by Wilhelm Süs.

Condition report:
Very good overall impression. Isolated tiny production-related spots of glaze loss, glaze on the lid partly slightly yellowish.
