"The following sheets are the whole that were printed when an Injunction was obtained from the court of Chancery at the Suit of Mess.rs Hobhouse & Hanson executors of the late Lord Byron to restrain the publication of the work on the 7th July 1824" (note at bottom of ms. title). Wise knew of seven copies in all, of which this may be one; the same applies to the copy sold by Christie's in 1985 for $ 2,200. - Untrimmed, hardly browned, pencil shelf-mark to reverse of blank leaf after ms. title, p.
